In a nutshell, think of our platform as a universal translator for engineering data, where day-by-day, we add a new integration to our toolbelt. Today, we cater primarily to the needs of automotive, aerospace, and defense companies, and we are always looking to expand to other markets. Our ontology-backed, hub-and-spoke-based interoperability system enables seamless communication between many of the foremost engineering tools, including MATLAB, Microsoft Word, Siemens Teamcenter, and IBM Doors Next Generation. We have also developed a rich software development kit (SDK) to support proprietary adapters to any and every software application, new or old. What You Will Be Doing As A Software Engineer:

  • Building scalable microservices using a medley of Java, Springboot, Angular 8+, Typescript, JS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
  • Leveraging the foremost open software services including Elasticsearch,  MongoDB, Microsoft SQL, RabbitMQ, and Kibana
  • Designing and implementing connectors to 3rd party engineering tools (CAD, PLM, MBSE, etc.) and to leading productivity tools (Atlassian Jira, Gitlab, MS Office Suite, etc.)
  • Building the components of a robust, modular architecture to ultimately support hundreds of simultaneous users
  • Brainstorming on new product features with the SBE Engineering and team
  • Collaborating with the our Solutions Engineering team to make the most usable, intuitive products for end users

What We Seek In Specifically Backend-Leaning Candidates:

  • Previous professional experience working with Java applications
  • Strong Proficiency with OOP principles and general algorithmic proficiency
  • Familiarity with the Spring and (preferably) the Springboot frameworks
  • Experience creating both microservices and monolithic applications
  • Even better: Experience migrating a stack from monolithic architecture to microservices

What We're Looking For in Any Candidate:

  • A range between 2 and 10 years of (post-academic) experience working in software development
  • A keen ability to self-manage to complete loosely defined goals is key, as ours products are still expanding to meet ever-growing customer needs
  • Experience with good end-to-end testing principles (true BDD and TDD are even better)
  • Someone who is hungry to learn, grow, and develop rock solid products
  • Experience creating DRY, beautiful code
